Research conducted in relation to TVET include,
Human Resource Needs study: undertaken in order to generate key inputs required to ensure that the training programs designed by the Employment Skills Training Project for the priority sectors, reflect and support the needs of the employers in these sectors. The study covers the three geographical regions; the capital Malé and adjacent atolls, the northern development region, and the southern development region.
Sector Studies: undertaken on the priority sectors; Tourism, Transport, Construction, Fisheries & Agriculture and Social Services.
The primary aim of the sector specific need assessment studies is to generate the inputs required to ensure that the training programs designed by the Employment Skills Training Project for the construction sector, tourism sector, fisheries and agricultural sector, social sector and the transport sector, reflect and support the needs of the employers in these sectors.
